240z Panel and paint recommendations - Auckland

Post by antz » Sat Sep 09, 2017 7:26 pm

Hi all - new to the forums so hi!

We've got a 240z that we've had sitting about in the garage for about 25 years that we would like to have painted. It's not been on the road since, 94, and have owned it for approx. 28 years..

We would like to know if any can recommend a good panel/paint shop in Auckland..in particular a Z enthusiast!

Thanks!

Cool to see another come out of hibernation. Is this one off-white?

Might be one I saw years ago when buying a triple carb manifold?

Anyway I have used GT Refinishers to do rust repair on my 240z and Mikey did a full panel and paint with them. I was really happy with the work.

They are quite visible in the show car scene.

Keep us posted!

Thanks yes, it's still off white and yes, it was us with the manifold..
Was rebuilt/repainted 25 years ago, so it's time to get it un-buried from the garage!
Just trying to get it running, and then are taking it over to see what work might be required for re-vinning...

Trying to line up someone to do all the panel/paint work, as I don't think it's going to take much to get back on the road.. as it was running sweet, until we pulled the engine out, and never put it back in. Has been hidden away ever since :)

Thanks for the recommendation..

Exciting to see another one making it's way back to the road.
