Certifying Coilovers 260z

Post by claerity » Thu Sep 03, 2015 10:28 pm

Has anyone been through this process recently or have any information surrounding it?

I would like to get coilovers but Lvvta have been tightening up the rules around welding on forged or cast suspension components and require destructive testing and I don't want to waste my money on something I can't certify.

If you google "Welded_Aftermarket_Suspension_Struts" the first link is the lvvta info sheet on the topic.

Where are you located? About to certify my lower suspension arms and struts.
Non destructive testing is economically efficient with these guys. And I mean it, it's almost nothing I felt like forcing another $100 onto them they are car guys and have sympathy for those folks going through the LVV process.
