RB30DE

Post by nzeder » Mon Apr 30, 2012 3:18 pm

Would anybody be interested in the following.

RB30DE made up from RB30E and RB26 head. Has Autonics SM4 ECU

The engine was build by Lynn Rodgers and was run in on the engine dyno - this engine was built as a good strong targa engine able to run on pump gas and make around 315HP.

The cost to build this engine was in the order of $20K

It has the stock RB26 ITB and plenum setup but depending on the $$ a set of DCOE throttle bodies can be purchased also - these DCOE throttle bodies are 50/48/45mm tapered bore Pro-Race Series from EFI Technology in Australia - google them for info/pics etc.

Sell as the racing I want to do with the car requires a L6 not an RB + I need a trailer for the car + some parts for L6 engine build.

Serious offers only please - looking for between $6500-9500 depending on the optioned purchased with the engine.

I will update this with a picture later.

PM me if interested.
Cheers
Mike

Can I ask what racing you want to do with the L6, over the RB?

Classic and the period is pre 31 dec 1977 so a rb30 is 87 vintage so out it comes. T&C rules see latest motorsport manual

Hi Mike

As i mentioned last night to Ricky (not sure if you heard or not) the new ACJS open class will allow RB powered 240z's to compete. This following a meeting on Wednesday night between myself, Steve Melhuish, Paul Barnett and Adam Hood. I have a copy of the proposed new regs (as should Ricky) i will bring them along tomorrow. You may wish to reconsider your sale. Plus we really want to see how it goes next to the L

Cheers
Anthony

Keep it. You might just save yourself 14 years and some $$$.

Besides you must have more than enogh spares for playing RB's

well if I stuck a full cage in my first 260z then I could do the classic jap open class in that...but I only put in a 1/2 cage....but maybe 2 racing zed is not a bad idea - one with L6 and stock body and one with RB30 and very modified body :D now that is an idea.....so anybody want a RB25/26 hybrid build by Topsecret in Japan?

The 25/26 RB is 1/2 the price of the other one ;) hmm that gives me enough for a trailer and a full cage...just and only if I go for a single axle trailer.

Keep it! If you are still selling, I've spoken to a few contacts about this engine package, I know one guy that might be interested, but I'll wait to hear more from him before going any further.

You know it is not too late - you could sell the V6 before you go to far ;)

Go on you know you want to - drysump'ed RB30DE with 316HP ;)

I've already gone way too far down the VQ route in my head to turn back :)

But it's a bargain for someone else. In fact I may just know someone who might be keen.

I believe the engine has been sold to a worthy recipient.
