Group buy: Rota RK-R for 240z/260z

Group buy: Rota RK-R for 240z/260z

I have been dealing with the local Rota agent on arranging a group buy on the new Rota RK-R 15x8 in a custom offset of +10 (also known as ET10)

Some might has seen these listed on trademe but in the 0 offset aka ET0 here is a link to the trademe listing Trademe Listing Rota RK-R 15x8 0 offset

The reason for the +10 offset is so no rear guard modifications are required, with the 0 offsets lots of negative camber and rolling of the rear lip is required.

However a +10 will not fit on the front of a 260z with stock spring perches without fitting a 6mm spacer as the 260z spring perch is lower vs the 240z strut. However if you have coilovers no issues.

There is approximately a 10% discount on the trademe price if you join in.

Colours are limited due to the special order so only Royal Flat Gunmetal and Flat Black and numbers are limited

EDIT: removed attached images and posted links of them :D Click the little image to see it larger

Here are some pics of the 0 offset rims in the colours in question.

These clear large brake setup up to 12.2" x 1.25" with Wilwood Superlite 4 pot calipers (test fitted on 2 x 240z with these size brake) can post pick of this later.

Rims will take 8 weeks to get to NZ.

If interested please reply or pm me.

Regards Mike

under $1K for 4 a very nice rim see attached pics of the 0 offset in Bronze I test fitted to the racecar with large 12.2" rotors and the Wilwood stick out a bit past the hub face - about 18mm IIRC

Would fitting 0 offset to front and +10 offset to rear on a 260Z be a good idea? If so another person doing the same would enable the sets of wheels to be purchased.

you have a 2+2 right? If so they have more room in the rear so the 0 offset might be fine all round. It is the 2 seaters that are narrower in the rear that have clearance issues.

Mike,

Had my eye on these and they look the bizzo.

Keen but I can't see any pics?

Will these clear on a stock 240z? What size rubber would be able to be run F/R?

James has your email changed? PM me it just in case. And I will email you the pics.

EDIT: updated pics from attachments to links above :D

And yes fit stock 240z suspension with the +10 offset with no guard modifications that is why I have been talking to the Agents for the last few months :)

There is a shipment of 10 set of 4 coming in and 5 set are already spoken for with a possible 2 more sets going.

Cheers
Mike

PS re the rubber question 225/50/15 no problems and we will see how the Toyo R888 in 235/50/15 fits once we get some rims in 8-9 weeks but going by calculations and knowing what fits and doesn't on a zed the 235/50/15 should be fine too.

Wow, these look great.

Not for me right now but lots of useful info about offsets and tyre sizes so I'll get working on my business case for the CFO and try for funding approval.

Only 4 sets left...be in quick. One set of Flat Black and 3 sets of Royal Gunmetal.

For those interested the order is now confirmed with Rota and I will email you details for placing a small 10% deposit to ensure the rims are loaded into the first container - Manufacturing of them most likely will start next week - however it will take up for 8-9 weeks to get here and then ??? how long to get through the ports of Auckland is anyone guess right now.

Well I can ask :D will get back to you.

All Black now spoken for...so only 3 set of the Royal Flat Gunmetal left before they are all pre-sold.

Correction - Only 2 sets of the Royal Flat Gunmetal left and one of the Flat Black.

Update on what is left in this order.

2 x Flat Black
1 x Royal Gunmetal

If others are after Royal Gunmetal then the 2 set I want I will swap for Black - I just want 2 sets the same and either colour I am happy with.
