Prep for Rotorua. Pic of the car sitting out (toughening up) in the sun after paint refresh . New wheels courtesy of Nzeder imports. :-) Car painted with Dulon, good thinners and a $40 gravity gun under the shade of a gazebo. Finish is straight off the gun and still needs a polish

Very impressive Andy, I was hoping to have SAMURI repainted fro Targa but other things have got in the way so it will now be a July/August task. Wheels do look good.

Hi Guys that was a blast, no action photos as camera crew were service crew and too busy to hit the spectator ranks. The car drove beautifully we were third in category 2 so got to hit the stage on our first outting. Heres a pic or two of the car and service stops. If you ever get a chance to do Targa grab it, Stage 16 through Paradise Valley was a....mazing. I will post youtube links sometime. Thanks for your assistance Heretic, no damage to brake or car.

Lets see 2 zeds in the Targa - 2 prizes how call is that, Andy and his team (all family + Luke) did very well for their first time at the event, not only did the finish which can be hard enough but they also picked up 3rd in category :) very cool. Allan and his team with the TARGAZ (240z Chev V8 powered) picked up second in in their category. And then there was Ricky Cooper who was Nav for Mike Sexton in the BMW E36 Evo M3 with me as part of the pit crew (so 2 zed members in the team does that count? in-line 6 does that count too?) anyway Mike and Ricky picked up 2 second in category too.

So I would say that was a good result and an excellent event. I hope to be involved again in the future.

Cheers
Mike

PS will post pics of the BMW later

Paradise Valley sounds like it was a lot of fun!!!! We had Paul Manuel sitting with us at the prizegiving dinner and he was talking of 300 metre power slides through the stage.

Good on you guys!!!!!

Good onya, there was alot of hands up for the Zeds when they went through, its a great help in keeping the throttle on the floor.
