6th May 2007 - 75th Auckland Car Club Anniversary Hill Climb
Awesome to see both Andy in his 240 and Ron in his 260 in action up the hill today!! Well done guys and without any mishaps or tricky bits we saw.
There certainly was some pretty exciting racing, with a few 360's, near curb clips right up to 4.30pm. Thankfully nothing major. Racing Ray Williams in his 800hp Porsche turning out a 21.9 secs, to be beaten by the university open wheeler with 21.6.
Some very old, very impressive race cars for their age too.
Very exciting day, and great to see Z club people there supporting the our boys racing.

What a great day, thanks for the support.
Zeds only beaten by those pesky Porsches in class.
Ron was 19th O/A and 4th in class, I was 32nd O/A and 6th in class. 84 drivers total, 10 cars in the Classic GT class.
I'll be back next year, even though you only drive for under 3 minutes total, its a genuine rush, particularly when the risk of damage is so high. I will be back next year with a LSD and a Porsche beating attitude.
