Hi everyone,
this is an invitation to anyone who would like to have a go at the 3/4 track (track 2) at Taupo on July 4th. This is an exciting and challenging track that is very kind on brakes. Anyone can enter in any car. You don't need a cage, only a fire extinguisher bolted in the passenger seat well (it can be done through or under carpet and any holes are usually invisible when the extinguisher is removed.) Our club has a friendly and relaxed day (a lot like the Z club day) and you wont get monstered by idiots. The format of the day is dual car sprinting with a car you can choose to line up with (a great way to meet people) as well as 6 or 8 car racing (and yes, you can do this even without a cage! and you don't need a National Race license, Clubsport is fine.) The format is great fun.
The cost is only $75 and if you don't have a Motorsport NZ license you can get a day license for $20. If you aren't a member of a MSNZ club then you can also get a Taranaki Car Club day license for $10 so a very affordable day. Stay at the Chelmswood and join in our after party...it is always great.
