What: Mini Club - Annual Economy Trial
When: Sunday 6th December 2009
Time: 1.00pm (for a 1.15pm first car away) - please ensure you're on time for driver/navigator briefing.
Where: BP Service Centre Carpark Drury (the first big BP on the Southern motorway - heading south).
What to bring: pen, clipboard, plastic bag, navigator, full tank of gas, sense of adventure
The trial will finish up in Waiau Pa, back of Kingseat with a bbq, and the Mini Club will supply sausages and bread, byo drinks.
The shop will be open if you wish to purchase olive oil and other products for xmas presents.
The Mini Club Economy Trial is always great fun every year, can we beat the Mini's?? Probably not, we do drive thirsty Zeds after all, but we'll have lots of fun trying!

That wouldn't be fair anyway, because the two of you go out and set the trial.
It was a great day. 9 cars took up the challenge under sunny skies. Fuel usage ranged from 10 km/ltr to 22 km/ltr.
Starting from the BP service centre the route went up Ponga Road, Jones Road, Twilight Road into Whitford, then through the gorge and up Point View Drive into East Tamaki where they travelled up Ormiston Road onto Redought Road, around Ardmore, back to Drury then worked there way over a couple more hills to our place in Waiau Pa.
Or was it the reverse of that?
Oh thats right, there were two routes that were mirror image of each other.
In addition, there were the oddball questions that you would expect and you have an afternoon of fun!!!
As for evil, NO!!!!! NEVER!!!! NOT ME!!!!!!

Nice choice of roads there. And no, we wouldn't anything less.
