Paint Code Help!!!! Blue 115

Post by beeto » Thu Aug 13, 2020 5:26 pm

Hi ZClub, i am getting to the pointy end of my restoration.

I have got attached some pictures of my test sprays.

What is everyones thoughts on what one is closest to 115 Blue?!

The paint mix is a spies and hecker Blue 115 spray, with adjustments to the "Green" mixture content from 0% to 100%.

No markings means 100% Green content, or as per test code mix.

Im essentially trying to match the colour as per Petrolicious video - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O8uuuBOWI6Q&t

chose the colour you like. I'm a big believer of building your car to a standard that that turns you on. Remember if you deviate from a standard colour make sure you have a formula. otherwise matching becomes a problem if you need to redo something.

I'm surprised you can even tell its blue in the Petrolicious video, as most of it was taken in shadow and low light... lol

The third panel looks similar to Daytona Blue of the 350. Been used on quite a few of the old school Z's.
Good luck with your paint, which ever one you end up with.
