Certifier needed

Post by bernjean » Wed Jun 03, 2020 2:44 pm

I am looking for a reasonable certifier in the Auckland area to certify work we are doing to our little Datsun, adding a turbo and front brake upgrade which means a bit of welding to the struts. I have downloaded the regs from the Land Transport site so sort of know what I can or can't do but want to run it past a certifier before doing it to avoid having to redo any work.

Maybe try flicking up a post on the FB page too. Always seems to be crew on there getting their cars certed.

Will flick something up for you.

My Z is currently going through the process with Paul Urquart at Coventry Certification
in Glenfield, 021990035.
Seems to take a reasonable approach.

I haven't done anything yet, we have changed plans on our car and are still busy working on it. However, I did call the person Steve suggested and found him good to deal with.

I havent had Paul do a certification yet but he seemed to be willing to chat and discuss things over the phone and email with me. (Which is more than some of the guys I did call to enquire)

I'm also interested in finding a good cert guy as mine will need a new cert
