Where is this 1970 Z car now?
I'm gutted I didn't buy it. It came up on TM last month (February 2012)
Hope he hasn't messed with it. Maybe he will sell at some stage on TM.

First off - not a 70 car. First registered in NZ as New in August 71 which matches the chassis ID which is under 1000 but not much over 900
From that single pic I can tell it is not a 70 car the rear quarters are the vented type = later than 70 shells. Then carjam gave me the rest of the info.
Nice car mind you and it would be nice in anyones garage....now were is that winning lotto ticket.
Cheers
Mike

The write up says it has 93,000 original miles. I'm going to have a look at it late this afternoon.
The new buyer will have to fork out purchase price then there will possibly be mechanical work needed if
maintenence has been deferred. I'm thinking suspension bushes, clutch, main bearings and piston rings. Rebuild carbs. Brakes?
That sort of stuff. For example the bottom braided radiator hose is the original factory one so might not have
much life left. All of this adds up on top of the $30 large initial outlay. It's a stunning car though, I'd own it in a heartbeat!

At 93,000 miles the engine should be still running sweet. I doubt any money to spend in that department. Maybe valve guide seals could do with replacing.
At $30,000 I would expect it to be usable as is for quite a while.
Being critical-- the rear bumper is not a good fit, especially the left side. Probably needs some tweeking. She still looks a pretty nice example as is though.

I met with the dealer, Darryn, and he is a good guy who was willing to spend time to talk about the car. It's had a lot of interest shown. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves.
