I changed mine to power steering, used a Subaru rack, its needs to be a rack that is mounted in front of the cross member. I think the original Japanese wing mirrors look the best, I put a set of XA Falcon mirrors on mine, sort of okay, I guess that is what they were like in the seventies. last I looked they were still available at Rare Spare. A big thank you for posting these pictures up. I just love to see this type of work. As a former panel beater, I know what sort of effort this takes, and am really impressed with the quality of the workmanship going into this build. It looks to me like it will be shown car by the time it is finished...

I would suggest that the air is getting in on one of the connections. Maybe tighten them all up a bit.

Might be a bit hard to find, as you know they are used when upgrading to later Nissan gearbox's.
