Keen as DJ. I'm not on Facebook, so replying here. I'll be parked up in Amberley at 9am, if you could keep an eye out for me? Thanks, Chris
Yup, no problem. I live in Rangiora so have to back track to the Peg but that's okay, you'll b...

Re: Noob Datsun Owner
Standard plugs are fine for it, I'm pretty sure Asher did them not that long ago though.
Re: Ls swap
No way would i ever consider turbo or super charging a 350Z ! An LS swap is the cheapest bang for your buck you will ever get with a 350Z. There are quite a few companies in the US that provide a complete kit for this which keeps all the electrics working perfectly as well. Not to mention that the ...

Re: DJ's other 280ZX
Put an exhaust on this, it was the original exhaust off the red 2+2 so I had to shorten it a bit, the tail pipe comes out the wrong side at the back but I didn't want to cut the rear valence. I cut out two new flanges on the water jet and had to make up two new hangers for it but it turned out prett...

Re: DJ's other 280ZX
Water jet an EGR block off block plate out of some stainless and gave it a quick polish. https://i.imgur.com/EaDPuRI.jpg Also gave the big Nissan rocker cover that is going on it a sand blast, it came up pretty good, would need a little bit of filler if it's going to be painted in the future. Took t...
Re: Ls swap
Been done plenty of times in the States, stock an LS1 make a little bit more power than a VQ35 and roughly the same as a VQ37 but ~100Nm more torque.

Re: DJ's other 280ZX
Bought some new boot hatch struts from Rockauto, the original ones on this have never held the hatch up since I bought it, very easy install and they came with new hardware, now it stays up on it's own. That's all I've done to this recently. James helped me cut up the parts car and we took it to the...

Re: DJ's other 280ZX
Ended up having to take the inlet manifold off again so I took it to work and sandblasted it while it was off, came up pretty good. I'll give the fuel rail a coat of paint before it goes back on as well, and yes I'll be sand blasting the rocker cover too. https://i.imgur.com/3cYQn4h.jpg Haven't done...

Re: UK Calling for help!
I took a guess that it was probably one of Niroshan's cars, looking it up on carjam.co.nz with the original NZ number plate puts it as a 1980 car. What other kind of proof/info do you need?

Ah yup, the only place I know down there with a dyno is HPA but I don't think they do random tunes.

Re: DJ's other 280ZX
Cleaned the inlet manifold at work, came up a bit better. I'm going to remove the fuel rail and a couple of the other rusty looking bits and give them a clean/paint before I put the rest of it together. There were a bunch of ARP bolts at work that were going in the scrap metal bin so I liberated the...

Re: Dyno south island
You will hear good and bad stories about pretty much every place, I tend to take them with a grain of salt, there's a lot of people who blame the person tuning their car for poorly assembled/not ready to be tuned cars. You haven't said what kind of car you have or where in the South Island you are. ...

Re: DJ's other 280ZX
Got the manifolds off this. I took the inlet manifold to work and gave it a clean in the big dishwasher, it came up a little bit better. Will get it back together this weekend hopefully. https://i.imgur.com/MAJytPg.jpg This was the reason for having to pull them off https://i.imgur.com/KJye6Oz.jpg
