Thanks Antony. The motor was built by Dave Taylor, circa 2000.The car was manual and on SU's. I told Dave reliability was at the top of the priority list ,so go easy on compression and cam. On that basis he said RR3 was the go.This is where things get a bit murky ,as there were a few cock-ups with tha...

Anthony ,If you have specs for RR3 and 5 ,I would be really keen to see those. Can't find anything online about them.
I had always assumed they were Nismo ,so interesting to find out they are Schneider knockoffs.
Some confusion about whether RR3 or 5 went into my car.

It was probably genuinely for the benefit of the members at that time.
Shame it now seems to be run for the financial and egotistical benefit of a number of officials.

Very happy with the result.

My Condolences Sheryll I always enjoyed meeting up with Brian .He was invariably bright and bubbly ,and his enthusiasm for the marque was contagious. He was always willing to share his time and knowledge and he was a fountain of engineering expertise. He was a lovely man and he will be sorely missed...

I found exactly the same thing.
When I was racing regularly on Toyo RA1's -predecesor to the R888 for those of you not old enough ,
I would change them side to side, front to back, whatever to get max wear.
No difference in grip or lap times.

Had one of these back in the day.It was an '85 model and I bought it in '88,so relatively new.I loved it!Handled like a dream. I used to double the the road speed signs on the corners with ease.I can only imagine you guys who reckon the handling wasn't up to much must have been driving ones with cla...

Does sombody have space to take, ideally 4 wheels to Taupo, or if not 4, at least 2?
