260z

I think the 260z compared to other US, and Australian classics is a bargain. A 1970s 911 is around $100,000........ Compared to historic prices for a 260z 2+2 it is up there. Long term I would guess there is room to move up in value given other classics which are arguably not as good to drive, look ...

Style

In my humble opinion the design direction you have already achieved is cooler. Why not keep on that route. It's relatively easy to refresh and it is unique in a good way. Yuta's Z has a style all of its own and is cool because it is built not bought..... https://zclub.nz/viewtopic.php?t=1681&vie...

Kit

Questions.....

Do you think you will love it in 5 or 10 years?

How critical is fit, finish, wheels and colour to make it look right?

Personally I think it looks cool and is a nice balance. However some details will age quickly.

Seen a veilside supra recently.........

Pertronix

Mine was stuffed up by myself.....put in a coil with the wrong ohms. But the tach works off a inductive loop from memory. Happy to be corrected on that. Just do some reading on all the different forums first.

If Brian's is working well copy his. Mine is medusa and not to be replicated!

Pertronix

Yes I have one - it works well. More stable ignition and cleaner revving. Although I did have to mess about with getting the right resistance in the circuit to also have a fat spark and a working tacho.

Ansa

I lucked onto it - was on Tardme.

I am not sure how easy it will be to find one......where it pops up on the web it seems out of stock.

It might be easier to get a custom one made by the likes of Adrenalin Mufflers.

Stacked muffler

Howdy.

Just done that on mine. I have cheapy headers 2 1/4 inch pipe, a resonator and an Ansa 240z specific dual outlet muffler. It's is fruity without being too much. For a na car I think this a good diameter. Dunno where you might find that muffler though.,...
