Thats a hard one to answer, It all depends on what you do. I had bits and peices chromed, had all the metal parts replated, and basically spent to do it once and do it right. I didn't used forged pistons, but had the dissy and injectors rebuilt , once you start it goes on and on,rebuilt air compress...

I purchased a well used 280zx and lifted the motor from it and threw the rest away, Dave from Z Spares rebuilt the motor and droped it back into the car. That looks pretty cool. When I first got my car, I was disapionted at the lack of brightness for dash lights, however when i had the dash out for recovering I installed all new bulb, made a huge difference. Scuff Plates
I have a 1977 Fairlady 2+2 and the scuff plates are steel with plastic covering (black) one of mine had all the plastic pealing, so I cleaned it all of and recovered it with a black plastic texture tape that the signwriters use. Almost the same as original. Does this help.
