Dismantling 260Z 2+2
I'm in the process of dismantling a 260Z 2+2 that has gone beyond the restoration state. Lots of misc parts available. Rear suspension, all the glass including windscreen. door fittings. Most of the body panels are beyond saving although the hatch could be reclaimed. Will be having the front left co...

Re: 240z ANDO WERKS
I had several levers so chose the one that gave the biggest backwards angle when fitted, and I need to make sure the rubber boot around the gearlever is positioned so it doesn't touch the console or else it jumps out of gear. I have a short shifter kit too but haven't fitted that yet. Can't say I no...

Re: 240z ANDO WERKS
Biggest change I noted when I installed the RB20DET gearbox was the shorter gear lever throw, and it was a bit smoother too. I did have some issues getting the correct gear lever though as otherwise it was hitting on the centre console surround when trying to select 1,3 or 5.

Re: looking at a 280zx, anyone one in Wellington that could view with me
I'm local and would help if I thought I could offer value but I don't know much about 280ZX models. I think you really need a good panel beater to have a look and advise. Might be worth paying one local to the car for an hour of his time to examine the car. I'm sure there will be enough spare mechan...

I see a 1975 260Z in what looks like excellent original condition recently sold for A$116,000 at auction in Australia. Those prices are increasing rapidly!

Re: 240Z/S30 parts needed
Hi Rob, I'm sure with your skills you will be able to fix or re-create them. As a suggestion I'd double plate where the seat rails bolt to as I've found the standard mounts can crack there. We ran square steel tube under the lip of the front mounts and welded that to the inner sill and the trans tun...
