Re: Any recent history ownership on this car?

Looked at this car today, Its on consignment from the owner. I think the asking may need to be re assessed and the owners expectations adjusted. Restoration is old and needs a thorough refresh. 3 out of 5

Later model 260Z 2 seater, S30 and S31 door window frames

$20 the pair, will freight if required. These are to fit the later model 2 seater S30 and S31 cars only with the monster side intrusion beams and claw catches. Top rubber is knackered on both but glass rubbers are ok. Pickup Opaheke, South Auckland or Narrow Neck, North Shore. Will ship no problem.....

Look who's driving a Z

I was of course watching this movie as a historical record and for no other reason but Seth Rogans' character is driving a Zed in Pam and Tommy possibly a 280?

old_datto_fan wrote: Wed Jun 16, 2021 5:33 pm Where did you get the carbon dash from?
Pre-owned in NZ, unfitted but cut for screen shape, came with carbon console. Located on the Z Club classifieds via WTB. Still not even half way through fitment, it's fairly labour intensive but when finished will be designed for quick removal and refit

240ZED 3rd evolution

Car has been off the road for sometime since sponsor retirement so I haven't been all that driven to get it back in competition mode. Volunteering in Tarmac rally events and watching others is providing enough drive to get 240ZED back into shape so here begins some occasional posts as I work my way ...

Re: 280z value guide

But from what I read, a standard import 280z would not meet NZTA criteria to remain a LHD = adding that to the 'to do' list is probably stretching my budget and definitely my skills! You can import a LHD 280z as a special interest vehicle https://www.nzta.govt.nz/vehicles/importing-a-vehicle/except...

Must be pretty good, text of ad gives no clues to why the asking price.

FG Guards and Front Spoiler S30 $650

These guards and spoiler will fit a S30/S31. Guards are approx. 15mm wider than the standard guards and were made by Mike Shaw Fibreglass Hamilton from moulds borrowed from a friend. The spoiler is a MS Fibreglass pattern but has had 30mm added to the centre to allow it to fit the bigger guards bett...

240z Bonnet $870

Steel bonnet off NZ new car with bonnet catch. Off rally car so vent cut on inlet exhaust side to position/shape and size of Nissan/Datsun bonnet vents for the same model. Looking at the engine side there will be small amounts of filler in this bonnet but I reckon it could be filler free with an hou...

Yes agreed totally, we gotta lotta racing done with cable ties, race tape, poor panel fit and "prototype" wiring. Ever since deciding to make the vehicle presentable it's sat in the shed!

My ones are Quik-latch QL-25-S but are the "mini" version. I figure with a front hinged bonnet, consequences of failure are minimal. quik-latch.com will get you in amongst it.

I've got the new bonnet latches which look okay, they aren't that much bigger than the original ones which is good.
Why the size change? I am about to use 4 of the smaller ones on a glass bonnet. Did you have failures or do they just feel feeble?
