Steering Wheels
Any advice on a source of suitable steering wheels and boss kits. My 33 cm el cheapo or similar sized Momo need the arms of a gorilla to make the 240 go round corners under any sort of load. The aluminium rivets of the former don't inspire confidence so something 'cap screwed' would be good. Thought...

Old race pics
Having written the Pace with Grace column for NZ Classic car for 15-20 years and taken some 15,000 photos, and being a zedophile, I have more than a few from the days of Paul Hansen, Greg Gillespie, Smithie, the Tasker family, etc, etc. Now finding them all may be a different thing, and heaps were o...

Then I'll be ready to take up your offer Anthony to cast an eye over it at some stage and a sug...

Oil pump
Having bought Andy's sway bar a while ago (days before before my diff started spitting out bits of washer, etc, etc. I need advice on the issue of an oil pump which virtually sits on the existing stock bar and consequently is likely to be impossible with the thicker bar. Gather there may be two diff...

Air filters for triples
I had a 'nearly nasty' experience with foam filter Ram Flo filters on my triple carb set up .i.e. ..backfire ... then fire!! Want to avoid a repeat. While K&N would be my preference, they don't seem to list any units for Dellorto DHLAs and pipercross only do twin set-ups I think so it's three se...

Spotted!
Dark blue 300 G reg, peeled past me late Thursday on the NW - North Shore link motoway and off at Hobby/Whenuapai. Tempting.. to go..but I was at 104 and cautious. Sounded crisp but someone's 'nailed the tail'. Hey I waved!!

See my 240 daily; sitting mocking me as I do more mundane and depressing things, like ..... .... take the cover off and notice my aging 300ZX TT has advanced paint 'silking' .. ... BUT ..... did get to sit in 'new, blue edition' GTR at City Nissan and study the spec sheet ... looked acceptable, e.g....

Getting somewhere!
Thanks guys (and Gals) I think we're getting somewhere... mind you, the crunch comes when i have to get those wallies from Motor Rg to accept the obvious and 'reclaim my heritage' Keep the data flowing, because somewhere in here is maybe enough to have them 'roll over'. Mind you, they evidently want...

Verifying the year
I've had a range of opinions on this, but not yet found a pathway which works. Should have asked on here of course. How to verify the true year for my 'Z'?? Ownership papers (a duplicate set which came with the car) indicate 1970. Somewhere in there, while it was 'exempt' from registration during wor...

Overwhelming!
Apart from the feeling that i've opened a can of worms, like the first time i took my motor apart, I'm rapt with the wealth of knowledge and suggestions coming through. Thanks guys! About to take holidays so will sift through, mail as appropriate (I'm still staggering as i find my way around the for...

Great minds, etc, etc.
Thanks Ricky and Mike ...great minds think alike obviously; nice to have gurus to quiz. I guess like most old codgers, we were so primitive with slow revving V8s and tiny fours that when we actually got a car with a tach, having treated the speedo like one for years, we became seduced by having some...

Shift light, Rev Limiter, ??
Having years ago, when young and stupid, 'put a leg out of bed' with my earlier 240 motor, I have more respect and concern for my current motor. being older and less sharp, I'd like the marginal security of some technical aids here. Any thoughts on suitable, available equipment appreciated. Current ...

Mike Drag's car photo
Funnily enough, caught up with Mike for the first time in years a week or three ago at a Zed tech night. Somewhere, (and I use the term loosely) I'll have some photos; having taken 15-20,000 shots over the years of working for NZ Classic car and being a Zed club mamber. I'll have to remember what co...
