Auto tilting exterior mirrors not tilting
I have a 2007 Fairlady Z, the exterior mirrors on which used to tilt down when reverse was engaged. They've both stopped functioning. You can still adjust them, but they no longer tilt when reversing (which was mighty handy) If anyone has an idea of what the cause could be some advice would be appre...

Re: 2007 Fairlady Z33 Version NISMO
Do you still have the centre console/cubby bits? I'm thinking seriously about replacing the Japanese satnav screen in mine for something vaguely useful, so I may be interested in buying it from you if you still have it. I've no idea what they're worth though.

Crusty rubbers.
Those nasty little pieces of decomposing rubber at the bottom corners of the windscreen have been annoying me ever since I got my car. Since there's no way to buy replacements without the whole kit & kaboodle of the A pillar cover at ridiculous cost, I thought I'd have a go at fabricating/sculpt...

Yeah it now has the Penrite fluid and new filter kit in, and all seems fine. Much appreciate your reply, cheers.

Auto Transmission fluid change
I'd really like to know whether you absolutely need to use the Nissan OEM Auto transmission fluid, or whether other manufacturers fluids are equivalent, as Nissan seems quite adamant that you use their product or risk damage. For example with Penrite ATF FS (Full Synthetic) their website states 'ATF...

Re: Radiator cooling fans
Just replaced both fan motors with new ones as the sparky told me the one still working wasn't working as it ought anyway. Super stoked that when I checked it was (surprisingly!) covered by an extra warranty I bought when I got the car through a dealer a couple of years back. Money well spent for a ...

Re: Radiator cooling fans
Thanks guys, I guess I'd better get an auto sparky to have a look at it. What I've found out so far from another member is that they're supposed to come on at 82 C

Re: Radiator cooling fans
Thanks Bronzee, yep, it is an HR. I wonder whether there is a difference between this a previous models? If not, obviously there's an issue. If anyone else has some experience of this it'd be good to know and also to know what the usual culprit is. Fuse appears intact. Do the fan motors have a habit...

Radiator cooling fans
I have an '07 Fairlady Z which I've had for two years and I'm wanting to know just how and when the radiator fans should operate. With the engine warmed up the temp gauge needle sits at pretty much horizontal or a shade under (approx half way between H and C), and sitting idling appears to stay the ...
