Swapping rear lights and back panel
Hi guys, just picked up a 1977 Fairlady Z 260z S31 JDM that I’ll look to do a rebuild on, ive not got it yet, was wondering if the 240Z rear lights and back panel fit the 260Z, notice also the dash and console seem slightly different, are these swappable ? Being JDM it’s not got USA bumpers, so does...

Re: Rear end conversion, recommendations
Thanks Dave, can totally understand it, it’s a large chunk of money from T3 just to be knocked back, I like your OEM idea, if you have the skills to pull it off

Re: Rodger's 240Z
Wow that’s Amazing !! What he charge for that, if you don’t mind me asking ? Does it leave the dip place uncoated, straight to body shop, you got a guestimate on cost if body work repairs ? Really looking forward to seeing this, just picked up a project Z myself, just starting research now regards M...

Re: Rear end conversion, recommendations
Hey Scott, to elaborate on the PM I sent you, I will be undertaking a body conversion to mount a Nissan rear subframe which will have the R200, CV axles, 5 stud hubs, etc etc into my Z. I looked in depth at the options and I've seen people continue to try to modify existing parts to customise a sol...

Re: Which gearbox/diff
Thanks again guys, what else or problems can I expect changing to Auto to Manual ?? Got the chance of a standard 240 box, but not sure if I should just go with the Rb20DET, if I went 240, what other parts I’m I going to need to get ? Cheers Mark

Re: Which gearbox/diff
If memory serves, that same C gearbox referred to by Bernie was also fitted to RB20det Skylines, but for that application was some 50mms longer .This means stock driveshaft will work, whereas S13 version requires a longer driveshaft to be made. Stock diff for manual 240 was 3.9. In my case, late 260 2...

Which gearbox/diff
Hi guys Got a 1973 240z auto, planing a gearbox change, after some advice. I’m thinking a 5 speed box from 280zx as I hear straight bolt in replacement ? Would I be wise to change diff too ? Again is this straight bolt in from the 280zx ? What else will I need as I’m going to need to get all parts b...
