Missing engine problem fixed? :) What was causing the miss?
OK to take parts car tomorrow if you want. I might not be home (will be at work till ~7) but you can get it any time. Has 3 wheels on it so will need another.

I'm really glad that the car has gone to someone so keen on getting it looking real good.

sry 4 txtspk :)

I thought WOT was a pretty standard acronym... maybe not? Yes it does mean Wide Open Throttle.
Yes the car is sold but I agreed to have a go at fixing the problem before the new owner picked it up. Thought it would be a quick fix... d'oh!!

280ZX Engine Trouble at Full Throttle

Hi! Problem with L28e. - Generally runs very well (wheel spins around corners no problem :) ) - Idles very nicely (1500cold / 700 warm and very smooth) - When it's at WOT it will hit the wall at ~4500 rpm - This only happens at full throttle and only at high(ish) rpm - If I take it easy (not foot to...

I had the same thing - failed WOF on chassis rails. They were pretty badly mashed. Got them fixed (replaced about 1 ft length of each rail) plus a couple of other bits (minor rust patches) for $700. Should have done it before going for the WOF, wouldn't have needed panelbeaters cert for it.

I know it got no bids - but it does have 'buyer and seller log in' which probably indicates a fixed price offer.

Unless you get one that's been inside its whole life it will probably be rusty - but that is the case with most Japanese cars until about '85 (high-carbon steel). I went to have a look at a couple in Northland before buying my current zed. They had been outside without covers for six months and they...

It was my sister that survived; she and Kish Proctor were swept over the dam along with the seven who died, including Anthony. It's hit real close to home - I also went to Elim and knew several of them, particularly Anthony. Several of Sarah's close friends died, and it has been a very tough week fo...

Hi, if it's a 280zx I have a 2+2 quarter window for it you can have. Also a bonnet but it needs some work and it's prob. not worth shipping to Palmy. Will post some pics soon.
