Re: Rodger's 240Z

What a fantastic rebuild journey you are on. Stay the course, don't add the bills up, ever. It will be worth it in the end.

Re: Anyone have a spare Brake booster Diaphragm??

There used to be a crowd in Auckland that had some spares S30 bits and for the life of me I can't recall the name. One of the Auckland guys will chime in no doubt. I got a fuel filler hose off them once. The states may well be your only option. Have you looked up the Nissan part code for the diaphra...

Some good work being done. The white foam mat like pad you peeled off the underside of the cowl is there to stop it vibrating when you drive at speed. Ensure you put a closed cell foam back there. Looking at the state of the floors, I’m surprised the outer sill hasn’t been removed yet as rust of...

It’s your car, do what you like. Everything can be reversed for $$$.

What’s the Vin? Not many early HS30’s left. Worth quite a bit if done right.

Yes, Damon is our first choice for all things Datsun. First class mechanic, drives a 240c and road star Ute. Great guy to boot. Very highly recommended.

I got mine from Nissan. It's a generic hinge pin kit which consists of two brass bushes per hinge and a pin. Pin needs to cut to lengh as they were too long.

From memory the kit is part number HK1 for a Navara.

Being the first ever of the zed series, low VIN S30's tend to be more collectable to some and hence prices in the US anyway are higher for low VIN S30's.
Not so sure the same thing applies for the 350z but time will tell.

Yes, it was a sub 100 VIN and they turned it into something which tried to look like a 432 minus the guard emblems.
Added a front splitter and rear spoiler, carbon bonnet, mags. Didn't look to bad I guess.
