Years ago I bought a Bluetooth ELM 327 OBDII interface. It didn't work on 2002 Japanese import 350Z Track (Fairlady) But it worked fine in a 2010 Suzuki Swift. My limited research indicated the Japanese used a different code/interface, which was almost impossible to find and/or expensive. I started ...

Electric self drive is the future. Love it or hate it, is my guess. What Mum, wouldn't want to use an application to program the car to go and pick up the kids from school. When I was 18-25 most of the people I knew riding motorbikes were my age. Now, many, many, many years later and it's hard to fi...

True, starting at NZD75,000 ( confirmed ) does sound like a competitive price. Stock Nissan 370Z starts at NZD60,000 at a Nissan NZ dealer...near you....ha, ha.. :) Nissan USA (https://www.nissanusa.com/sportscars/z-coupe/nismo) has the Nissan 370Z NISMO listed at USD45,690 (~NZD66,700 on straight c...

Nissan 370Z Nismo at Hamilton Nissan office. 24-OCT
Nissan 370Z NISMO can be bought from a NZ Nissan dealer.
Probably old news but was a bit surprised to see a 370Z NISMO parked at the front of the Hamilton Nissan office.
I did touch it to leave my finger print on the clear-coat.
The dealer suggested a price around $75000.00

True, had a lot of fun driving around the east/west coast of Northland. On motorways, at ~110km/h I've seen 11.2Km/L and the 350Z is just loping along (6speed manual). Given the petrol tank is 80L and one cruises at 10-11km/L you'd be getting around 800/880km per tank. Sadly, I'm mostly town bound a...

I have a set of Michelin Pilot Super Sports on my 2002 Nissan 350Z 'track' as I don't drive the car much and the previous Dunlops lasted 10 years/25K km The PSS are a lot quieter than I thought they'd be and less road noise than the Dunlops. At approx $2,400.00 a set, not cheap...but a lot of fun. W...

Re: Rear hatch gas struts
What cover(location of) are you referring to? The small cover underneath the rear strut tower in the boot. The one I mentioned was missing in mine, or did it not have one in the first place to start with? It's no larger than about 10cm? rectangle in shape if I remember correctly. The opening under ...

Re: Rear hatch gas struts
The only thing with the new struts is I have to manually unlock and lift the rear hatch before the struts take over and raise the hatch the rest of the way.. Sorry if this a noob question, but is there a way to pop the hatch other than manually? I found this out using the PDF manual guide from the ...

Rear hatch gas struts
I bought some from AliExpress and they should be strong enough to hold up a rear wing. I got mine shipped from USA via NZ post YouShop and cost NZD19.50 for shipping on top of the original purchase price. It was cheaper than having it shipped direct from China. www dot aliexpress dot com slash item ...

New ACC Levy
I just noted the price change for 1-JUL-2016 and only paid one month to get me past the July date as rego expired on 28-Jun. If I check RightCar ( rightcar dot govt dot nz/rego/ ) with my Nissan 350Z car rego I'm looking at $85.59 compared to approx $250 last year. I note the ACC levy goes from wors...
