Cheers guys and useful input. After sitting so long the fine nylon filter was varnished closed, in fact the whole sender unit was just a block of dirt and gunk. I cleaned it all up and also all the loose stuff in the tank, but who knows what was in the lines even after flushing and blowing out. I di...

I've taken Eliza to a couple of garages in Kapiti now and have been told how long is a piece of string......... The old girl's going OK 50% of the time, the rest she lacks power and hunts really badly at idle.....stalled twice. I turn her off and then on again and she starts and idles fine..... Now ...

Ok, so a productive weekend just gone. Eliza is alive and running under her own power. I've freed the brakes up and have actually taken her for a 20km ride. She went well although seems to be using too much gas. I'll have to check the fuel pressure ( which means take it to a garage)!!! First time ou...

Hi from Raumati South
Hi All, Dave from Raumati South here. For those of you who don't know, 40kms north of Wellington, 5 km south of Paraparaumu. I've just purchased a 1981 2litre Fairlady and will be the first to admit I know absolutely nothing about the model although I remember them when they first appeared. I was fo...
