Horsepower rating..
Just enjoying exploring the Nissan sportscar range in recent years. Have had a mint 89 300ZX TT, an 04 350Z, and because I needed two extra seats I now have the Skyline 350GT. Amazing cars!! The 350GT has of course same motor as 350Z - an absolute gem - but am trying to figure out this one's hp rati...

Clonk when engaging drive or reverse
My 2004 Zed has only 135ks but has a significant clonk when engaging drive or reverse. On hoist it does not appear to have much movement where shaft meets diff, and both rear CVs seem good. Wondering what else it could be. Put some heavier REdline oil in diff but no change? Warn mounts? Brilliant ca...

350Z auto trans question
My 350Z (126ks) runs beautifully, but I do notice it has a bit of a clonk at times when moving shifter from Park to Reverse or Drive. Not major but its there. Very smooth on changes when driving and no noise/looseness evident when accelerating/decelerating sharply. Also can't find any movement in dr...

Cool thanks for that - suspected it would be sender but don't know 350Z setup. Just finished 3000ks roadtrip round parts of south and north islands - my lady and I in the 350Z. Its an amazing cruiser that effortlessly chews up the miles, and has stonking acceleration when you need to pass something....

2004 350Z fuel guage issue
Just noticed a problem - intermittent false fuel readings. I put say $50 (25 litres) gas into car but dash fuel guage will read near empty, and the top mounted cluster read out also shows just a few ks left to go before empty. It tends to go away after one or two start/stops - no doubt a reboot. Jus...

350 is a good performer stock but it's always interesting to look for easily available hp/kw increases - finding the low hanging fruit. From tuning my diesel offroaders as well as sportscars the increase is often in small increments - tweaks here and there. A matter of finding them. Personally I wil...

:D :D I have had the 350Z for 2-3 weeks now and done over 1000ks plus a long trip or two. It is interesting to compare it with the 300ZXTT. My 300 twin turbo had more advantages than the 350 but the advantages the 350 has are good ones. The 300ZXTT is much easier to tune, it is quicker over a measur...
