Rotorua Targa Tour

Z Club members were conspicuous by their absence! I think only 1 in the Rally event and none in the Tour! I entered as a Motorsport Bay of Plenty member so I wouldn't be embarrassed. But what a great event, a real blast. Probably the only event in the world where you can take your road car and drive...

Rego

Yes, the system is based on the number of crashes vs number on the road, as stated previously. I have a Mercedes AMG C63 as well which is pretty rare and owners generally don't crash them, so the rego is less than half the 350Z! Actually, the ACC component.

Hi Zedders, Mike has just phoned me to say sorry this event has been cancelled, as we didn't have enough numbers to confirm until too late, and the dyno ended up being double booked. Next time. Nothing to stop BOP'ers getting together for a lunch/brunch. Sing out if anyone has any ideas, and I'll p...

Dyno

Keen as for the dyno. Might have my NOS installed by then. I'm keen, but need to see if my engine will be back together in time. I'm a most likely. & Harlequin, If you can please confirm if you're dyno'ing ASAP!!!! We're still running the dyno, so whomever comes is welcome at 10am, but those th...

How about a reply to my question asking for info from those you have done conversions for? I'm thinking this is fiction!

Nav system

Just saw this thread and I tried to look at your YouTube video, but it says "not available". Are you still doing this?

When Zilver does his group buys, you can get the NGK's from COZ, and it works out very substantially cheaper. 8) Would've been handy to know that before! Since it'll probably be another 100,000 kms before they get changed again, it might be a few years..... The Densos look identical to the NGKs as ...

Spark Plugs

My car has 90,000 kms on the clock and I thought I'd fit a new set of plugs while also fitting the MREV2 lower plenum. I was horrified to find that Repco wanted $52 EACH for NGK PLFR5A-11 plugs! So I looked on TradeMe and found a fellow in ChCh advertising Denso plugs - he says for Peugeot V6, but t...

I'm going to Whitianga (from Mt Maunganui) that weekend. Could take the Z and meet up somewhere, if anyone works out where to go! Coroglen pub is good for lunch.....if you can get in past the bikies.
Whitianga itself is not bad either and Tairua has some good spots down by the water.

My 6-speed manual has a diff ratio of 3.538 and a gearbox ratio of .794 in 6th gear, giving an overall ratio of 2.809, so at 6600 rpm in 6th the wheels are doing 2350 rpm. It has 245 x 45 x 18 tyres, so the circumference is 2.129 metres and 2350 rpm gives a speed of 5kms per minute or 300 kph! If it...

I'd be very interested to hear what you think of it after using it a bit. Also, who did it and an idea of the damage to the wallet? (might get it done myself)

I think I must've missed something there. I sure didn't see an answer! BTW, I didn't think I wrote in an angry or emotional manner, so why use the term "rant"? I certainly am not attacking you or trying to put you down in any way. I merely wished to point out a few things that seem to be g...

Power to the people

Well, the tuners all measure power at the wheels - be a bit of a mission to pull the engine out and then find an engine dynomometer! And I know people love Horsepower because the numbers are bigger, but unless you are in the US, Kilowatts are more meaningful. So the stock 350 Z,non rev-up was rated ...

I'm curious.... is that at the fly or wheels?
Yes, that is a good question. Mine did about what the Motordyne graphs show - 256 hp - so I'd like to know how to get another 14% without changing cams.
