Re: My 280zx

This week I got my gear box back, I sent in an RB box and they swapped the bell housing with a VG version machining it for the Mazworx adaptor, while they were at it they also upgraded the 3rd/4th selector fork. Now I'm back to saving for for the next items on my list and another trip to Kaizen work...

Re: My 280zx

So it's been nearly 4 years and my car has progressed a little further thanks to the guys at Kaizen works here in Lower Hutt. R33 rear subframe all mounted up, next up RB gearbox mounted to the L series engine and back for custom engine and gearbox mounts and that should be the last of my money gone...

Re: Datsun 280ZX IMSA GTU replica race car build...

I have a RB Box getting done at the moment, I was happily surprised when they told me I only needed an extra bit welded on the bell housing and mine is also a bit weathered so I thinking about getting it vapour blasted before it goes into the car.

Ahhhhh, will be interesting to know what they do have left, I only asked about front guards and the wiper panel in front of the windscreen. I have a spare pair of doors but they are 4 seater doors and I've never measured them to see how much longer they are but they could have the bottoms cut off as...

Welcome to the frums :) The Nissan factory manuals are great, there are 2 available one for the car itself and one for the L-series engine. An L28 engine would be the cheapest engine swap, but I suspect if your planning to modify the engine in the future it would be easier to find aftermarket parts ...

Let me know how you get on with Nissan. I was able to buy Lower Hutt Nissan's service manuals years ago when I first got my car and there was a few parts still available back then but I never checked on what body body panels were still available. It may also worth checking what's available from the ...

Yes as far as I am aware all the panels from the front windscreen back are different between the two, I also have a 2 seater however the spare doors I have are for a 2+2. I am also after a pair of front guards as my good pair never made it back from the panel guys I was using at the time. I've never...
