Just spotted this and updated mine.
Is there any way to track down the previous owner? The cars are listed with our real names, not our avatar's, so I don't know if my car's old owner is still active on here.
It would be interesting to try and get some history on my car if possible.

Does anyone have floors etc they have bought, but not fitted yet that he could copy?

If you are after carbon flares look at the RHDjapan.com website. A huge range of parts for the z series. I have used them quite a bit this year and the customer service is the best. You can chose your shipping and prices are some of the best I have found Top tip! About $500 + postage on RHD, I didn...

Nice flares (never thought I'd say that out loud lol). Interested to know cost as I have similar plans for my car, although yours is much further along than mine. Do you intend to fabricate a gearbox mounting or buy one? I have bought Castlemaine Rod Shop engine mounts and a rear facing sump that ca...

Random question, but how do you find the engine stand/rotisserie? I will be needing something for mine soon, so looking at options that won't break the bank!

Your build is looking good, is the gearbox an RB25det, if so, were there any issues fitting it (apart from the 'ears' that needed cutting off)?

Maybe we should organise a group buy, for floors and then as Old Datto Fan, says, get an engineering shop to make a load of rails.

Floor rails were over $500 AUD, plus shipping. Engine rails are $700+, so you'd be looking at $2000 NZD for a full set with shipping an GST. They look good, but probably too rich for my blood!

Floor and engine rails made in Oz

I don't know if anyone has seen these, I stumbled on them on Hybridz, but there is a chap in Oz making full length floor rails and engine rails too. They are made from galvanised steel and the fit and quality looks great. I have been in touch with him re shipping to NZ as I will be doing mine soon. ...

Hi Muzzym, Firstly, it's great you have got your car back, secondly, I have just bought a 240z, also in need of restoration and like old Datto Fan, I'm on the Kapiti Coast. There is tons of stuff available for these cars, mostly from the states, but it may be that if we need the same parts, we could...

Could be a peach, could be a lemon!

No information and the photo's are taken from miles away and don't show the 'rust areas'.

Hi from the Kapiti Coast

Hi all, I joined this forum over 2 years ago, about the time I met Old Datto Fan at Southwards open day and I've been lurking about ever since, trying to learn more about the 240Z and keeping an eye out for a likely project. I had hoped to get one a while ago, but life had other ideas and it had to ...
